Brick To Ya Face

“Snick @ Nite” is a mixtape entirely produced by emcee/producer Curtiss King. Named after the popular block of shows Nickelodeon showed on Saturday nights in the 90s, “Snick @ Nite” is made of samples from many of Nickelodeon’s most popular Tv themes flipped into a wide variety of Hip Hop styles. Songs such as the DMV Go-Go influenced “Bangin On A Trash Can” matched with the lyricism and high energy of Hip Hop’s new class of emcees, shows  that “Snick @ Nite” will be a Hip Hop release like no other.

We first met Curtiss back in May when Storm on Mars dropped, he hit us up seeing if he could be featured on BrickToYaFace, we checked out his music, was feeling it so we gave him artist of the week for May 26th. We met him in person that friday, we went to his release party; a couple people performed but we only knew of Dana La Rock & The Hii Hatts, the show was dope though and everyone killed it.  When I met Curtiss I just remember that he was real cool and humble and appreciative of the interview we did for him; BrickToYaFace was probably only a month old at that time so I felt good knowing I was doing what I set out to do. It’s been about 7 months, we’ve been with him grinding out Storm on Mars and now Snick @ Nite. We’ve definitely become family, I’m excited for people to hear Snick @ Nite, for people to fully get his production ability and to hear the growth of his lyricism. Tonight, at the release party, he said he found himself in the I.E. this makes me think of what his next project is going to be like, Snick @ Nite had a theme, which was accomplished in the mixtape but I can’t wait for him to do a project that shows us what he found in himself. Congratulations Curtiss, I know you’ve been waiting to drop the mixtape and the day is finally here, also you killed the stage at your release party!
